  • High-quality curricular and extra-curricular activities that promote the development of the whole child

The school’s curriculum focuses on clear and measurable expectations for student learning and covers the main subject areas of Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. Our program reflects high-quality instruction and the implementation of proven classroom strategies as well as innovative activities that help students learn. As a public charter school, our students are required to participate in all state-wide assessment programs including the state standardized assessments and other school-based assessments to measure academic progress and mastery of various subject areas.

Excellence and performance drives the faculty at Mater Grove.   All our teachers are highly qualified and state certified.  Using effective research-based strategies such as hands-on learning, inquiry-based research projects, science experimentation, technology-rich environments, and high expectations for all students, our teachers motivate students to succeed academically and help them become life-long learners.

Located on the grounds of the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade / Hank Kline Club at 2805 Southwest 32 Avenue, Mater Brickell will utilize the organization’s existing facilities that are comprised of 10 acres. The property features a state of the art five story building.

Mater Brickell leases the facilities in order to provide the educational component during the day. At the end of the academic day, students have the option to attend after care provided by the Boys & Girls Club of Miami.

A key part of the educational process at Mater Brickell is the Teacher-Parent-Student partnership. Learning best occurs for students when there is a strong interaction between the home and school. Therefore, at Mater Grove, parents are expected to play an integral role in their child’s education by completing volunteer hours and participating in other school activities.
